During the wildflower season, we occasionally get dispatches from Kelly Povo and Phyllis Root, authors of "Searching for Minnesota's Native Wildflowers."

This year’s first bloom report comes to us from a stretch of prairie in Cannon Falls, Minn, where Povo and Root went hunting for tiny purple pasqueflowers, an early sign of spring.
