Weekend rain

Our next weather maker arrives this weekend. We could use a good soaking rain. This time it comes on a weekend. The start and end of the weekend look dry. The heaviest rains favor Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Good soaker

Most models project soaking rains from the Twin Cities south this weekend. Many 1- to 2-inch totals look likely.

Warmer next week

Next week looks mostly glorious. Forecast models have backed off the notion of the extreme heat and humidity, but highs in the 70s to at least low 80s still look likely. We’ll take it.
