That south wind you’re feeling is starting to pump up temperatures across Minnesota.
A hot and increasingly humid air mass is blowing northward into Minnesota Monday. Temperatures still hovered in the cool 60s in northern Minnesota. But temperatures soared well into the 80s to near 90 degrees are in southern Minnesota.

Temperatures in the Twin Cities are pushing into the mid-80s Monday even with considerable cloud cover.

Back to the 90s
Tuesday and Wednesday will be the hottest days this week across most of Minnesota. Highs into the 90s cover most of the state.

A cool front drifts into Minnesota Wednesday and Thursday. That will trigger scattered thunderstorms. The severe risk favors the Red River Valley Wednesday, but this zone could shift east for Thursday.
