It’s a November summer flashback this week.
An unseasonably warm weather pattern is setting up across much of the nation. This will be the week to get those last-minute house and farm chores done. Enjoy those last mild-weather walks and bike rides. Savor those last few balmy sun-soaked afternoons.
Near-record Election Day warmth
The lower atmosphere is so warm it looks like it will outperform numerical model guidance this week. I could easily see much of southern Minnesota in the 70s this week.

It could get close to 70 in the Twin Cities Tuesday afternoon. That would approach the record for the warmest Election Day on record in the Twin Cities.
Peak warmth Friday?
Highs will top out between 65 and 75 across southern Minnesota most of this week. Highs will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s up north.
Friday and Saturday look like the warmest days this week. Highs will likely reach the upper 70s in southwest Minnesota Friday. I wouldn’t be shocked to see an 80 degree reading Friday afternoon.
A pattern change brings a strong cold front again Sunday. It looks like highs will return to the 30s next week.
