Two students reflect on a year of remote learning

Today marks one year since Gov. Tim Walz ordered K-12 schools in the state to close as officials scrambled to contain the spread of COVID-19. Many students haven’t been back in a classroom since.

As we reflect on this past year, MPR News host Cathy Wurzer checked back in with two Minnesota students she first spoke with last April, when they were wrapping up their senior years of high school.

Now, Eden Worden and Frances Atmore are freshmen in college: Worden attends University of Minnesota Duluth and Atmore is studying at Grinnell. They shared their experiences navigating remote classes and relationships with professors and peers.
