It’s not news anymore that the past year has been challenging for restaurants, bars and other businesses around the state. Many community institutions have closed their doors permanently.
In Minneapolis, news of the latest casualty – Uptown dive bar Liquor Lyle’s – is hitting hard. The bar’s owners confirmed Wednesday that they’re putting the business up for sale. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer talked with musician Paul Metsa about the bar and what it has meant to Minneapolis over the years.
