Waves of April showers this week

Our inbound low-pressure system slogs through Minnesota this week. It will stall right over the Twin Cities Wednesday, then lollygag toward Duluth and northern Minnesota Thursday. It won’t rain all the time at your house but expect multiple waves of rain through this week.

Much colder pattern emerging

I hope you enjoyed the record high of 85 degrees Monday. We likely won’t see temperatures that warm for at least two to three weeks.

It’s been an unseasonably warm April in Minnesota so far. April temperatures through Tuesday are running about 12 degrees warmer than average in the Twin Cities. It’s a sea of warm colors again on the April temperature departure map.
