The best chances for showers and thunderstorms favor the southern half of Minnesota Tuesday. NOAA’s NAM 3 km resolution model paints scattered showers and thunderstorms across much of southern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon.

Marginal severe risk
A few storms may approach severe limits Tuesday with highs winds and hail. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center paints a marginal risk for severe storms from near the Twin Cities south and east.
