That completely unscientific metric is just one sign that spring-like weather is beginning to take firm hold in Minnesota. Temperatures soared to 70 degrees across parts of northern Minnesota today. Welcome sunshine boosted temperatures into the 60s across most of Minnesota Wednesday afternoon.
String of 60s, with 80s Saturday
Our more springlike warmth continues through the weekend into next week. Overnight lows stay mostly above freezing Thursday morning. By Thursday afternoon highs return to the 60s across southern Minnesota.
Keep in mind: The average high and low temperatures for the Twin Cities by this weekend are 65 and 44 degrees.
Highs push well into the 60s Friday across most of Minnesota with 70s in the southwest.
Saturday still looks unseasonably warm. Highs will push well into the 80s across southern Minnesota Saturday afternoon.
