Frost advisories cover most of southern Minnesota into Tuesday morning. Freeze warnings are up further east in Wisconsin.

...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation.

* WHERE...Portions of west central Wisconsin and central, east central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Minnesota.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 8 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

The combinations of clearing skies, light winds and low dew points in the 20s make for likely frost into Tuesday morning. Temperatures will likely hover a few degrees above freezing in the inner Twin Cities 494/694 urban core, but it’s going to be close.

Temperatures will dip closer to 32 degrees in some Twin Cities suburbs.

The chilly high-pressure system shifts east Tuesday afternoon, and the southerly flow around the backside of the high brings milder temperature the rest of the week.

Tuesday will be a classic spring day with sunshine, light winds, and highs in the 60s.
