Scattered rain and thunder delivered another soaking rainfall to parts of central and southern Minnesota. So far the weak to moderate low-pressure system has behaved with minimal severe weather. There’s still a low risk of severe weather. Keep an eye on the 

Rainfall totals are expected to be between 0.5 and 1 inch or more in most areas by early Tuesday morning. Locally heavier rainfall pockets over an inch are likely. 

Sunshine returns to Minnesota during the day Tuesday and through most of Wednesday. High temperatures return to the 70s across Minnesota. 

Another weather system brings a chance for rain and thunder across Minnesota Thursday and Friday. NOAA’s GFS model is typical of solutions that bring scattered rain and thunder across our region.

The upcoming weekend looks warm and summery for Minnesota. Highs should reach the 80s, with dew points in the 60s this weekend.

It’s going to look and feel like summer for the last weekend of astronomical summer in MInnesota.
