Rain arrives Wednesday

There may be a few spotty showers ahead of the system overnight. But the main rain waves sweep eastward across Minnesota Wednesday. NOAA’s HRRR model has a pretty good-looking solution for rainfall coverage and timing Wednesday.

Rain should fade from west to east Thursday morning. Rainfall totals on either side of an inch will be common across Minnesota, and totals around 1.5 inches favor much of western and central MInnesota.

Nice Halloween weekend

The Halloween weekend still looks pretty nice for late October. High pressure will bring plenty of sunshine Friday through Sunday. Highs will be in the 50s Friday and Saturday.

A cold front with a chilly northwest breeze will trim temperatures a few degrees Sunday with trick-or-treat temperatures generally in the 40s.

No big scary storms on the weather maps this year for Halloween.
