Including the cities of Faribault, Red Wing, St James, Mankato, Waseca, Owatonna, Fairmont, Blue Earth, and Albert Lea

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
* WHERE...Rice, Goodhue, Watonwan, Blue Earth, Waseca, Steele, Martin, Faribault and Freeborn Counties.
* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 3 PM CST this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Wind gusts reached 46 mph in the Twin Cities Tuesday afternoon. Here are some select wind gusts around Minnesota as of midday.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 46 mph
Hibbing, 39 mph
Owatonna, 45 mph
Rochester, 49 mph
Milder air
Tuesday’s southerly winds are blowing milder air into Minnesota. Highs will reach the 50s in southern Minnesota. The air mass to the southwest is incredibly mild for mid-November. Highs well into the 70s are pushing as far north as South Dakota and western Iowa.
A cold front arrives Wednesday. Winds will be gusty once again, but from the northwest. Highs will fall back through the 40s and 30s again Wednesday.
