Minnesota rides the backside of a high-pressure ridge Tuesday. That means a change in wind direction. Winds will blow from the south across Minnesota Tuesday.
South winds will gust up to about 30 mph again across southern Minnesota Tuesday. Here’s a look at forecast wind gusts at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The southerly winds will pump in milder air once again. Highs will approach 60 degrees in southwest Minnesota Tuesday afternoon.

Our temperature roller coaster continues this week. Another cold front blows through Minnesota Wednesday. Temperatures will fall from the 40s and 30s on brisk northwest winds Wednesday. By Thanksgiving Day, highs will hover in the teens north to around 30 degrees south.
Good holiday week travel weather
The good weather news this week?
Little if any precipitation and no big storms in sight to mess with holiday travel plans. The weather map across the U.S. Wednesday evening shows the cold front blowing through Minnesota, but it will come through dry.
There will be showers in the central states, and some snow in Colorado. But overall travel looks good across most of the U.S. this Thanksgiving.
