New study looks at how policing affects preterm birth

A study, published in JAMA Open Network, shows that pregnant people in Minneapolis neighborhoods are at a higher risk of preterm birth and the odds of a preterm birth for Black women was 100 percent higher than their racial counterparts in the city's neighborhoods with a low police presence.
