Heating up with more storms ahead

Partly cloudy skies Tuesday with cooler, but still above normal temperatures. Dew points will be lower before going back up Wednesday. More storms are possible late Wednesday.

Tuesday will be a very nice day with cooler temperatures but still above normal, mainly in the 70s and 60s across the state.

Dew points will be much lower than yesterday afternoon’s muggy readings but they’ll be on the rise again Wednesday.

We’ll also see the temperatures heating back up the next couple days. Wednesday will see highs back well into the 80s for much of central and southern Minnesota. The record high Wednesday for the Twin Cities is 88.

Thursday looks to be the peak of the heat with our first 90 in the Twin Cities and the second 90 for many south central Minnesota stations this week. The record high for the Twin Cities Thursday is 90.

More strong storms possible ahead

With the increase in heat and humidity and the next disturbance moving in from the west, we have the chance of more storms late Wednesday and Thursday.
