Rochelle Cox steps in as interim superintendent for Minneapolis Public Schools

The educator will fill the role for one year while the district searches for a permanent replacement.

Minneapolis Public Schools is coming off a tough few years, including dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, a contentious teachers strike in March, and the controversial Comprehensive District Design that reshaped the district.

After the departure of Superintendent Ed Graf who led the district during these tumultuous times, Rochelle Cox is stepping into the role of interim superintendent. She joined MPR News host Cathy Wurzer to share the goals she has for her team and the district during her one-year term.
