A cool front will move through Minnesota and western Wisconsin Sunday evening. There’s plenty of moist, unstable air over Minnesota and western Wisconsin, so the front will continue to generate areas of thunderstorms Sunday evening.
Severe weather outlook
According to the NWS Storm Prediction Center, scattered severe thunderstorms are possible late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening in the yellow-shaded area of Minnesota (including the Twin Cities metro) plus parts of western Wisconsin:
An isolated severe thunderstorm is possible in the dark-green shaded area. The graphic and its thunderstorm timing info are provided by the Twin Cities NWS office. The Storm Prediction Center updates the severe weather outlook every few hours.

Temperature trends
Cooler and less humid air will be with us on Monday, then temps will ramp up on Tuesday.
Monday highs range will from mid 70s in far northern Minnesota to mid 80s in the southwest:
Most of the Twin Cities metro area will top out in the lower 80s.
Monday afternoon dew points will be in the relatively comfortable 50s in most areas:
Dew points in the sticky 60s will return on Tuesday.
Back to high temps, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 90s on Tuesday, then around 90 Wednesday followed by mid 80s Thursday and around 90 on Friday.
It looks like warm temps will linger next weekend into the beginning of the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a strong tendency for above-normal temps in the upper Midwest from August 6 through August 10:
