A classic August weather pattern unfolds through the upcoming weekend across Minnesota. That means a mix of sunny, pleasantly warm days, and maybe a little rain.
Check out the temperatures across the U.S. on Wednesday afternoon at the top of this post. You can still see the core of summer heat from the high plains of Montana southward to Oklahoma and Texas. Minnesota rides a more temperate air mass to the north with temperatures n the 70s north to 80s south.
Thursday brings another sunny beautiful day. Highs will be a few degrees cooler, with 70s north and 80s south.

I detailed our Thursday night and Friday rain chances here in my earlier post from Wednesday.
Friday looks cool for eastern Minnesota with some clouds and a few thunderstorms. But heat will nudge eastward into the Dakotas and far southwest Minnesota Friday afternoon.

The weekend looks mainly dry with sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will edge upward with highs in the 80s Saturday, to near 90 in southwest Minnesota.

Enjoy our quiet and pleasantly warm summery weather.
