A bit humid in some areas

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 81 degrees on August 13. We’re looking at metro area highs around 80 this Saturday afternoon. Parts of southern Minnesota will reach the lower 80s, but much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have highs in the 70s:

Southeastern Houston County of far southeastern Minnesota is seeing some scattered thunderstorms early this morning, and thunderstorms extend into parts of northeastern Iowa and southwestern Wisconsin. That thunderstorm activity is expected to move out of far southeastern Minnesota in a couple of hours. A rain-free day is expected in most of Minnesota and west-central and northwestern Wisconsin.

NOAA’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern from noon to 10 p.m. this Saturday:
