Scattered shower and thunderstorm activity will become a little more widespread to include most of Minnesota Friday. We’ll have more occasional unsettled weather this weekend.
Scattered showers Friday
We’ll have scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday. The best chances will be early Friday and then again in the late afternoon to evening and overnight.

Portions of northeast Minnesota are under a flood watch through 10 p.m. Friday where multi-day rainfall totals will be in excess of 2 to 4 inches over saturated ground.

More chances at rain and thunder over the weekend
We could have some lingering showers or thunder early Saturday with redevelopment in the evening Saturday or overnight.

We’ll be warm and muggy, in the 70s to low 80s through the weekend. Monday and Tuesday will bring more sun with highs well into the 80s before a mid to late-week cooldown.
