The Saturday high temp at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 55 degrees. That’s four degrees shy of our average Oct. 15 high in the Twin Cities. We’ll probably have to wait until Wednesday to see 50s again. Next weekend looks much warmer.

Sunday highs will be in the 30s in roughly the northern half of Minnesota, with 40s in the south:

Forecast gusts are in knots, with 23 knots, equal to 26.5 mph.
Back to temperatures, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the upper 30s on Monday, followed by lower 40s Tuesday and around 50 on Wednesday. Metro area highs could reach the mid 50s on Thursday, followed by lower 60s Friday.
A couple of forecast models show Twin Cities highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s next weekend. Above-normal temps may then linger into the start of the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a strong tendency for above-normal temperatures from Oct. 21 through Oct. 25:
Sunday rain/snow shower chances
North-central and northeastern Minnesota plus parts of northwestern Wisconsin will see scattered rain showers and snow showers Saturday night.
North-central and northeastern Minnesota plus northwestern Wisconsin will have the best chance of occasional snow showers and rain showers on Sunday. Some scattered light rain/snow showers are also possible Sunday in northwestern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 6 a.m. Sunday to 9 p.m. Sunday:

Fall color update
Recent strong winds have taken a lot of leaves off of our trees, but there are still some areas of great fall color in portions of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area.
My wife saw plenty of fall color while strolling along Jefferson Avenue in St. Paul on Saturday.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fall color report for Minnesota State Parks and Trails looks like this:
When you look at fall color maps, keep in mind that all deciduous trees are included, not just maples.
