Keeping our sidewalks cleared has been a challenge this week. We shovel, then another batch of snow moves through a few hours later.
Additional snow
Parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see a few flakes Friday afternoon. Another batch of measurable snow is expected Friday evening and overnight Friday night.
Western Minnesota looks dry during the daylight hours of Saturday, but eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see some areas of snow showers Saturday morning.
The more significant snow will shift deeper into Wisconsin on Saturday. The northern third of Minnesota could also see some periods of light snow late Saturday night and Sunday.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 5 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday:
New snow totals Friday evening and overnight Friday night are forecast to be in the 1 to 2-inch range in northern Minnesota, with generally less than an inch in southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities metro area. Blowing snow is possible in open areas on Saturday due to gusty winds.

Our average Nov. 19 high temperature is 40 degrees in the Twin Cities. Metro area highs are expected to stall out in the upper teens Saturday. Highs in the teens are forecast for most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday afternoon:
