A low-pressure system near Lake Superior will lift very slowly northeastward late Saturday. It will continue to spin areas of light snow over Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In the stronger winds from west-central through south-central Minnesota, blowing snow and reduced visibilities are expected. The National Weather Service continues a winter weather advisory in those areas until noon Saturday:

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 28 degrees on Dec. 17. We’ll have metro area highs in the lower 20s Saturday. Western Minnesota will have highs in the teens, with mainly 20s to the east:
