Weekend weather: Saturday afternoon warmup lingers through Sunday

Sunday highs in the 30s for Twin Cities, southern Minnesota

Northwesterly winds will continue to spread very cold air across the upper Midwest Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. The cold temps will linger through Friday and Friday night, but temperatures make a huge rebound Saturday afternoon. Sunday highs will be very mild.

Many areas will see falling temps Thursday afternoon. Lows by Friday morning will be in the 20s below zero to lower 30s below zero in northern Minnesota:
