It was a busy evening for severe weather warnings around Minnesota Thursday night. I counted as many as 20 of Minnesota’s 87 counties under severe weather warnings at one point Thursday evening.
The bulk of the severe weather reports came in from western and central Minnesota. Hail from golf ball to baseball size was reported.

A few spotty storms will gradually fade overnight. A chance of scattered storms returns Friday afternoon. Highs will reach the 70s and 80s across Minnesota Friday.
