Isolated thunderstorms are rumbling across Minnesota and the Twin Cities this Monday afternoon. As of this post, one strong cell is rolling through parts of the Twin Cities area drifting southeast. The downpours may be welcome, but they are localized.
A few storms may approach severe limits Monday afternoon and evening. There is a marginal risk for severe storms in eastern Minnesota around the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin.
Heat builds
A hot high-pressure dome is building over the Upper Midwest this week. High temperatures will push the 100-degree mark across parts of South Dakota and Minnesota this week. The hottest days this week will be Tuesday through Thursday.
