Mainly dry
The weekend is expected to be dry in most areas, but an upper-level disturbance could bring scattered showers to parts of northern and central Minnesota late Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Temperature trends
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 83 degrees on July 29. Metro area highs are forecast to be in the lower 80s this Saturday.
Most of the northern third of Minnesota and parts of northwestern Wisconsin will have Saturday highs in the 70s, with highs in the 80s elsewhere.
Sunday highs reach the lower 80s in roughly the southern half of Minnesota, with mainly 70s elsewhere:
Sunday afternoon dew points will be in the comfortable 50s in most areas:
Monday highs will be mainly in the 80s:
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 80s on Tuesday, followed by upper 80s to around 90 on Wednesday and Thursday, then mid 80s on Friday.
Meaningful rain this past week
Rainfall at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 1.67 inches over the past three days, bringing their July total to 2.57 inches. That’s still about one inch below normal for the month. Many spots spots had higher rainfall totals this week…I tallied 2.51 inches in St. Paul.
The 7-day rainfall map shows meaningful rainfall totals in much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
The southeastern portion of Kandiyohi County had between 4 and 6 inches of rain in the past week, as did some spots in the northeastern corner of St. Croix County, Wis.
