Some spots in far southern Minnesota had over two inches of rain this weekend, but rain totals were much lower across most of Minnesota.
The Sunday rainfall total (throught 6 p.m.) at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 26 one-hundredths (.26) of an inch. Parts of the metro area had less rain and a few small pockets of the metro area had close to one inch of rain, based on radar estimates.
Sunday evening
Periods of showers will continue into this Sunday evening in much of southern Minnesota and in patches of central and northern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. An isolated thunderstorm is also possible in central and northeastern Minnesota early Sunday evening.

Monday looks dry across most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
Far northern Minnesota could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern from noon Tuesday to 10 p.m. Tuesday:
More of Minnesota and portions of western Wisconsin could see some scattered showers late Wednesday. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms late Thursday into early Friday.

Temperature trends
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 82 degrees this time of year. The metro area and much of Minnesota had Sunday high temps in the 70s.
Our Monday highs will be mainly in the 80s:
Far northern Minnesota will see some 70s.
Tuesday highs will be mainly in the 80s:
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the mid 80s on Wednesday and Thursday, then around 80 on Friday.
Metro area highs will probably retreat to the upper 70s next weekend, then below-normal temps could linger into the start of the following week.
