Friday’s highs in the 50s convinced me to fire up the furnace. Central heating will be appropriate for the next several days.
Temperature trends
Saturday highs will be in the 50s across much of Minnesota plus west-central Wisconsin. North-central and northeastern Minnesota plus northwestern Wisconsin will have highs in the 40s.
Some spots in the Twin Cities metro area will reach the mid 50s. The average Twin Cities high temp is 63 degrees this time of year.
Sunday morning lows will be in the 30s to lower 40s, with the coldest low temps in north-central and northeastern Minnesota:

Sunday highs will be mainly in the 50s, with 40s in northeastern Minnesota and parts of northwestern Wisconsin:
A few spots in southwestern Minnesota could top 60 degrees.
Many areas will see Monday morning lows in the 30s. Monday afternoon highs will be in the lower 50s in many locations:
North-central and northeastern Minnesota will have Monday highs in the 40s.
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 50s Tuesday, followed by upper 50s Wednesday then mid 50s Thursday and lower 50s Friday.
Rain chances
Parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see a few sprinkles at times this afternoon and this evening. Patchy rain showers are possible later Saturday night in northern and eastern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin.
Northeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see scattered showers at times on Sunday, with an isolated shower possible in east-central and southeastern Minnesota.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the potential rain pattern from 6 a.m. Sunday to 10 p.m. Sunday:

Note that radar was showing precipitation that was not reaching the ground in parts of northwestern and west-central Minnesota Saturday morning. That is called virga.

When you look at the fall color map, keep in mind that all deciduous trees are included, not just maples.
