A cool Sunday; Monday morning lows in the 30s

Fall color update for leaf-peepers

We’ll have cool Sunday afternoon temps, along with fairly light breezes.

The average Twin Cities high temperature is 62 degrees this time of year. Metro area highs are forecast to reach the mid to upper 50s.

Much of Minnesota will have Sunday highs in the 50s, with 40s in parts of northeastern Minnesota and a few lower 60s in southwestern Minnesota:

Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will dip into the 30s late Sunday night and early Monday morning:

Downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul may see low temps in the lower 40s, with mainly 30s in the suburbs.

Northeastern Minnesota could dip to 32 degrees or lower, so a freeze watch runs from late Sunday night to 9 a.m. Monday in that area:

Mainly dry

Most of Minnesota will have a dry Sunday.

Parts of northeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see scattered sprinkles/light rain showers today and Sunday evening.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s High Resolution Rapid Refresh forecast model shows the potential rain pattern from noon Sunday to 10 p.m. Sunday:
