Somebody flipped the weather switch again.
The upper-air pattern across the Northern Hemisphere is pushing more frequent cold air masses into Minnesota, and the northwest flow aloft looks persistent over the next week. That will keep the Upper Midwest in a cold bias for the next several days.
The average high and low temperatures in the Twin Cities Wednesday are 61 and 43 degrees. We may not get that warm for at least a week.
Temperatures will approach the freezing mark across most of Minnesota again Wednesday morning. The inner Twin Cities core may escape freezing temperatures again Wednesday morning.

Frost advisories are up for southeastern Minnesota between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday. Keep in mind the National Weather Service typically does not issue frost advisories for multiple nights after the initial frost event. That’s why more of Minnesota is not covered by frost advisories.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Goodhue, Steele and Freeborn Counties. In Wisconsin, Pepin County.
* WHEN...From 1 AM to 9 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
Highs Wednesday will approach 60 degrees close to the Twin Cities, but most of us will hover in the 50s again Wednesday afternoon. Note the toasty-looking 80s lingering around places like Kansas City, Mo. So close.
Friday’s rain system will keep temperatures in the 40s across much of Minnesota.
The good news is, at least it’s warm enough to avoid snow. For now.
