It’s a November to remember this year in Minnesota.
Our mild fall weather lingers right into mid-November. Keep in mind our average high and low for the Twin Cities on Nov. 15 are 42 and 28 degrees.
Now look at Tuesday’s temperature map at the top of this post. A mild stream of temperatures in the 60s has pushed well into Minnesota on brisk southerly winds. Temperatures in the 50s have pushed all the way north into southern Canada.
As of this post, the Twin Cities has already reached 65 degrees Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday brings slightly cooler air to Minnesota. But temperatures will still remain well above average. Highs will reach 60 again in the south, with cooler air to the north.
Thursday brings one more push of unseasonably mild air to central and southern Minnesota. Highs will push into the 60s again in the Twin Cities. But notice the brisk 30s and 40s in northwestern Minnesota on Thursday?
That colder air mass will sweep south by Thursday night bringing an end to our unseasonably warm spell this week.
Friday brings temperatures much closer to average across Minnesota.
Rain and light snow chance next week?
Some forecast models still hint at a weather system next Monday into Tuesday that could bring light rain and light snow to parts of Minnesota. Tuesday’s model runs backed off the intensity a bit compared to Monday.
Here’s the Canadian model run next Monday into Tuesday:
