Our weather pattern shifts into warmer gears as we move through this week. Our cool Monday gives way to a slightly milder Tuesday. But on Wednesday the now potent April sun comes out in full force. Highs Wednesday will push into the 60s across much of Minnesota.

The sun above Minnesota will be as strong as late August by this upcoming weekend, and temperatures look ready to respond with late summerlike highs. Friday brings another day near 60 degrees in many areas.

Warmth here to stay?

Overall the weather maps look milder than average for the foreseeable future. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s week 3-4 temperature outlook favors warmer than normal temperatures overall in late April and the first days of May.
