In the spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours. — Mark Twain

Mark Twain must have understood our Minnesota spring season. That old saying '“if you don’t like the weather just wait 15 minutes” perfectly fits our fickle Minnesota spring weather.

Tuesday’s fickle mix of sun and clouds gives way to a fabulous warm sun on Wednesday. Temperatures will respond and it will feel more like May out there. Highs will snuggle up to near 70 degrees in southern Minnesota Wednesday afternoon. (See the map above.)

Thursday brings a blustery speed bump to our warming trend. Gusty northwest winds and spotty rain showers south and snow showers north will make Thursday feel like March at times.

Highs will fall back into the 50s on Thursday.

Next week looks seasonably cooler but outlooks favor a return to warmer-than-normal temperatures later this month.
