Gov. Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris are in the midst of their tour of key battleground states as Harris hopes to build momentum and introduce her running mate to voters.

But for one prominent gun control activist, Walz needs no introduction.

Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg has been vocal on social media about his support for Walz as vice president since President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out. Hogg is also president of Leaders We Deserve, a group working to get more young Democratic candidates onto ballots.

Hogg spoke to MPR News host Tom Crann about why he’s so fired up about Walz.
