 has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of central Minnesota until 9 p.m. tonight.

The watch zone includes the far northwest fringes of the Twin Cities but does not include most of the greater Twin Cities area. Storms are possible in the Twin Cities this evening mainly after about 7 p.m. 

Stay alert for possible warnings into this evening in the watch zone!
