After years of delays, revived taconite mine offers new economic hope on Minnesota’s Iron Range

Construction continues at the site of Mesabi Metallics on Nov. 19, in Nashwauk, Minn. After almost two decades, the nearly $2 billion project is nearing completion with a goal of producing pellets by the end of 2025.
