Drone surveys help scientists understand impact of Rapidan Dam ‘avulsive failure’

Andrew Brown, a senior geoarchaeologist, inspects the camera on a drone before sending it up for another flight over the Rapidan Dam on Monday. Brown and other researchers are using drone imagery to look at the changes in the landscape along the Blue Earth River after the Rapidan Dam failed last summer.
