Ahead of the five-year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, a new documentary follows three community organizers through their fight for change, justice and healing in the aftermath of that murder seen round the world.

The documentary is called “The People’s Way,” echoing the same words written in red on a former gas station at 38th and Chicago in South Minneapolis, near the site of Floyd’s murder.

It’s screening Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10 at the 

Directors Ashley Tyner and William Tyner spoke with MPR News host Tom Crann about the film.
