Warmest days of spring ahead! 70s this weekend with 80 degrees possible next week

Spring in Minnesota is the promise that summer keeps.

That promise of consistently warmer air masses appears ready to be fulfilled in the next week across Minnesota. And other than a chance for a few spotty showers Wednesday night and Thursday, it looks like we’ll enjoy our stronger April sunshine most days for the next week or so.

Get ready to enjoy some of the best weather in a year over the next week Minnesota.

Our warming tend begins gradually at first. A frosty Wednesday morning may be the last of the spring for much of southern Minnesota.

We’ll warm gradually into the upcoming weekend. Highs Saturday will rise into the 60s across most of Minnesota under sunny skies. By Sunday highs will soar well into the 70s with 80 degrees in the west.

It’s still early but NOAA’s GFS model is suggesting a string of days in the 70s is possible for next week.
