A fairly stable upper-air blocking pattern is causing beautiful weather above Minnesota this week.

This kind of weather pattern produces sunny skies and warmer-than-normal temperatures across our region.

Cooler by the lake

An easterly wind flow will ramp up lake-effect cooling off of the still frigid waters of Lake Superior at times this week.

July-level temperatures next week?

Next week could bring the warmest temperatures of the year so far to most of Minnesota. Forecast models suggest western Minnesota could hit 90 degrees early next week. The Twin Cities could rise into the mid-80s.
