The season’s coldest air mass so far produced frosty temperatures in northeast Minnesota Monday morning. Temperatures dipped into the mid- to upper-30s across the northland Monday morning.
We do it again one more time Tuesday morning. Lows will be around 50 in the Twin Cities, with lows mostly in the 40s around Minnesota. But temperatures will dip into the 30s once again in northeast Minnesota Tuesday morning.
Frost advisories cover most of northeast Minnesota away from the relatively warm waters of Lake Superior, where water temperatures are in the low 60s along most of the North Shore.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 34 will result in frost formation. * WHERE...Central and North St. Louis, and Northern Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion and, Nett Lake areas. Other locations including Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters is also included.
* WHEN...From 3 AM to 9 AM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
Highs Tuesday afternoon will be several degrees warmer than the past few days. Highs will reach the 70s across most of Minnesota Tuesday afternoon.
The week looks mainly dry overall with just slight chances for a couple stray showers, especially Wednesday.
