May the force be with them: Turkey growers turn to lasers to ward off bird flu

A laser projector cast infrared light around a turkey barn in Melrose, Minn. early in the morning on Sept. 25. The lights fend off waterfowl that can spread highly pathogenic avian influenza to commercial turkey flocks.
