First Avenue Stage Manager Conrad Sverkerson died this week. He was 66.
Known mostly just by his first name, Sverkerson had worked at the Minneapolis venue since 1988 and had been stage manager since 1990.
“While he retained that title, he had a big, much more outsized influence over the operations,” First Avenue General Manager Nate Kranz said.
Bands over the years from near and far got to know Sverkerson. For touring artists, he became synonymous with the venue.
