A little rain will fall into our lives through Tuesday. A minor to moderate weather system is spreading showers eastward across Minnesota overnight. Showers will cover most of Minnesota Tuesday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s NAM 3 km resolution model shows the showers gradually sliding east and grazing the Twin Cities form time to time Tuesday. The forecast model loop below runs between 7 p.m. Monday and 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The steadier rains will focus on central Minnesota mainly west of the Twin Cities. Rainfall totals between one-half and 1 inch will be common in central Minnesota southward into Iowa. The Twin Cities will see less rainfall with a sharp cutoff in the east.
Temperatures Tuesday will hover in a few degrees either side of 50 in most areas.

Cool Halloween
We’ve had snow on Halloween around Minnesota the past two years.
But not this year.
Partly sunny skies return to Minnesota from Wednesday through Halloween into the weekend. Right now the forecast looks dry. Highs on Halloween will hover in the 40s south. Trick or treat temperatures favor upper 30s north with lower 40s south.
So it could be better or worse for Halloween this year. Costumes with a little insulation will be the most comfortable.
