Rochester and Mankato have announced that public transit is ending all service Sunday due to blizzard-like conditions that could make travel dangerous.
Both cities said they expect to start service again Monday morning, but they warned of delays and potential blocked roadways.
Rochester received 13 inches of snowfall as of 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Mankato has received 6 inches.
The cities as well as the Minnesota Department of Transportation urged residents this morning to stay home and remain off the roads if at all possible today.
