How a Rochester high schooler called the snow day for the district

With the snow still falling Sunday afternoon, kids in Rochester got the call they were waiting for: a snow day.
The voice on the phone was not the superintendent of Rochester schools. It wasn’t a principal or other administrator.
It was 10th grader Jaycob Krebs. He attends Century High School and he is the person who officially calls snow days for the district.
MPR News host Clay Masters spoke with Krebs Monday afternoon and asked how he got picked for this sort of thing. Turns out, he's been interested in snow days for a long time.
