A conservative influencer is suing three people she says attacked her while she was reporting on an anti-ICE protest in the Twin Cities last month.
In the lawsuit complaint filed this week, Savanah Hernandez — who was reporting for the conservative political group Turning Point USA — alleges that Christopher Ostroushko, DeYanna Ostroushko, and Paige Ostroushko assaulted her. Hernandez says the attack caused injuries, including a concussion and emotional trauma.
Hernandez was covering a demonstration held last month outside the Whipple Federal Building when she was surrounded by protesters who recognized her as an influencer affiliated with Turning Point USA.
The Ostroushkos face federal charges. Hennepin County prosecutors charged Christopher Ostroushko with misdemeanor fifth-degree assault.
