Minnesota's disability and addiction recovery service providers rely on payments from Medicaid programs. But many providers are now scrambling to figure out what's next after they received notice on Monday that 

they were removed from high-risk Medicaid programs

This comes after the state Department of Human Services revalidated 5,000 providers. DHS was required to do so as part of the Trump administration’s campaign to address fraud in Minnesota. 

, including the Twin Cities Recovery Project, tell MPR News they were removed not for fraud but for administrative errors.

Twin Cities Recovery Project CEO LaTricia Tate spoke with MPR News host Clay Masters about her organization’s disenrollment from high-risk Medicaid programs.
